Podcast as Mind Food

Tips to feel better

I have recently been searching for podcast on mental processes and these are the ones that bring a smile when I listen to them. I smiled because the discussion is rich and nourishing to my mind, far different from what you get from mass media. I encourage you to listen and find out for yourselves what listening to good stuff can do for you. #psychotherapypodcast#mentalprocesses#BBCradio4#hiddenbrain#therapyoutsidethebox#mindfood#invisibilia#NPRone

BBC Radio 4, In Therapy by Psychotherapist Susie Orbach, is one of the first podcast I got to know through attending John Bowlby International Memorial conference in 2016 where Susie was one of the moderator. I still revisit her podcast series every now and then because listening to them is a way for me to be in touch with how she does her sessions which is always inspiring for me.
Below are some podcast I found from Goodtherapy.org which are well worthy of mentioning.
Hidden Brain unravels patterns that influence our behaviors, the instincts that guide our choices, and elements that affect the unfolding of our relationships.
An exploration of all things mental, All in the Mind is about the brain and behaviour, and the fascinating connections between them.
Unseeable forces control human behavior and shape our ideas, beliefs, and assumptions. Invisibilia—Latin for invisible things—fuses narrative storytelling with science that will make you see your own life differently.
Shrink Rap Radio is hosted by Dr. David Van Nuys, an emeritus professor of psychology at Sonoma State University, and features interviews with experts in the realms of psychotherapy, psychology, spirituality, and beyond. For anyone interested to know more about sex addiction, listen to episode 527 where “Dr Dave” interviewed Alexandra Katehakis, MFT Founder and Clinical Director of the Center for Healthy Sex in Los Angeles.

I think there’s enough here to feed our mind for a long time to come. But just in case you still want more, visit https://www.goodtherapy.org/psychology-therapy-mental-health-podcasts.html
Peace and love, Sarah
