Jasmine is experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassionate Therapy and Solution-Focused approach to support you with a host of problems in your daily living. She had experience in both Malaysia and Australia and therefore able to be culturally sensitive towards her clients due to her multicultural background and upbringing. She believes in the power of vulnerability is the core of making a transformative change in life. By facing your own discomfort and being emotionally vulnerable is a courageous start to self-help. Jasmine aims to provide a confidential and safe space for you to unpack your personal experiences and emerging desires. Her goal is to help you navigate through life stressor, empower you to seek greater self-understanding and clarity in life. She values the process of a collaborative effort between you and the therapist and strives to meet clients where they need to by prioritising their needs. Life is all about finding the right balance and celebrating small wins.
Jasmine worked as a generalist counsellor and an assistant facilitator at The Centre for Women & Co in Brisbane Australia during her placement period. She has experience in providing face-to-face counselling and advocacy support to clients regarding Domestic Violence/ abuses and other emotional issues such as anxiety, depression, stress management and more. She is skilled in utilizing trauma-informed care and the biopsychosocial assessment. Jasmine also interned at Women Centre for Change in Penang, Malaysia as an assistant social worker and administrative staff. Therefore her combined years in the public health industry allowed her to gain good understanding of the impact of mental illness and traumas have on an individual's mental wellbeing and daily functioning.
